# FME Help

The FME Help Utility that is included with FME Form is an excellent resource to learn about FME Form and its components:

Whilst the Help Utility can be opened up directly before navigating to what you need, it is typically quicker to use the built in access to the Help found in FME Form.

By selecting the **Help** button on any open transformer (or other object) dialogue:

Or right-clicking on a transformer on the Canvas or the Transformer Gallery and locating **Help** in the options, the Help Utility will automatically open on the related page for that object:

With a provided overview of the transformer, examples of its usage (seen above) and sections detailing every parameter that can be configured as part of that transformer.

Lots of these descriptions even contain usage notes, that can help lead you to an alternative transformer that is more suitable:

Leading to another page with more valuable information:

Not only does the help give you information on the transformers you are aware of, but also potentially leads you to alternatives that you weren't aware of!

As the maintainer (Samuel McDonald) of these training courses is fond of saying:

> The 'Help' is Helpful!\
> Let the 'Help' Help You!
